Lavender For May

Lavender is a wonderful plant for May! Not only does this versatile and hardy plant add colour and structure to your planting, but also has a calming and relaxing scent... and is a real hit with bees and butterflies!

Where to plant

Lavender loves sunshine, so is best planted in full sun, in well drained soil. Can be planted in pots or in borders, as well as as a hedge.

Special Care

After the Flowers have faded in late summer, trim the stems back by a few inches.

Planting Companions

Sedum and echinaceas are both great to plant with lavender as part of a perennial border.
