About Us
By the time February comes along your garden can be looking pretty empty and uninspiring. You need something which is going to give a little interest and structure while you are waiting for the blooms of your spring bulbs to appear.
Hellebores are a great choice for adding a little colour to your winter garden as they flower from winter in to spring.
Grow them in sun to partial shade in moist yet well drained soil. The dappled shade of shrubs or trees is ideal as long as the ground is not too dry.
Mulch with organic matter on an annual basis.
Cut back old foliage to keep disease free and show off new buds.
Hellebores look great with other spring flowering woodland plants. Primroses and wood anemones are good choices, along with spring flowering bulbs such as scilla and miniature narcissi.
We have a wide range of tools and accessories available in store and online. Please ask our members of staff for any help or advice, they are always happy to help!
